This week's episode we are do an album review of Larkin Poe's 2020 release, Self Made Man. The 5th studio album by the Lovell sisters is rooted in heavy blues and southern rock but branches out to touch all the branches of the music world. Elements of pop, hip hop, rock, R&B and country combine to make one delicious cocktail for your ears.
In our Week in Music segment Ringer and Jesse talk Marcus King's live performance series and Ringer plays J-Man a little tune on the guitar.
This album is a great collection of sounds and styles. On the surface Self Made Man appears to be southern rock but as you peel back the layers there is elements of pop, hip hop, industrial, and country in this record.
