Marcus King - El Dorado [Album Review]
Ringer and the J-Man rock out to Marcus King's 2020 new album release, El Dorado. Each song gets analyzed track by track and then they rate the album as a whole at the very end.
Also covered in the week in music segment; Jesse returns the favor from last week's episode and surprises Ringer with some trivia, Ringer poses a question about quarantine music listening habits to Jesse, Jesse talks about his new Gretsch guitar, and Ringer talks about the latest music documentary he's been watching.
This album is a great mix of the blues version Marcus King we've come to know with elements of jazz, pop, psychedelic, and singer-songwriter. King shows restraint in his guitar playing that adds layers and depth to this album that make it a dynamic listen from front to back.
El Dorado by Marcus King Album Rating (out of 6 strings)
J-Man: 5/6 Strings
Ringer: 4#/6 Strings
