Prince - Purple Rain [Album Review] - Movie Soundtracks Pt 2

In this episode Ringer and J-Man pick up from last week and do a full on album review of Purple Rain by Prince; often considered to have one of the best soundtracks of all time. In addition to the album review, Ben and Jesse try their hand at a movie review and discuss the movie and the soundtrack together.

In the Week in Music segment Ringer and J-Man discuss the Save Our Stages act. A bill in the United States Senate that would provide a $10 billion dollar grant fund to support local venues throughout the country during the coronavirus pandemic. If you care about your local venues contact your senators and tell them to support the Save Our Stages act. Learn more at saveourstages.com.

Purple Rain is maybe the best example of a film soundtrack that works as a standalone album. The songs fit perfectly into the movie and each one can be enjoyed on its own away from the silver screen.
